Find a Corona Vaccination Centre near you

The SARS-CoV-2 vaccination Vaccination against COVID-19 contributes both to individual protection and to the containment of the Corona pandemic. The Corona vaccination is free of charge in Germany – regardless of insurance status – and is not compulsory. With the vaccine from BioNTech/ Pfizer and Moderna, two vaccine doses are necessary for complete immunisation. The second vaccine dose is administered – depending on the manufacturer – 21 or 28 days, at the latest 42 days after the first vaccine dose. As the vaccine is only available to a limited extent at the beginning, the vaccination commission has issued a vaccination recommendation. This prioritises certain people with a particular risk of infection (e.g. medical staff) or people at risk of a severe course (e.g. elderly people, people with underlying diseases) and a high mortality risk. The federal states invite those whose turn it is to be vaccinated. For this purpose, telephone hotlines – 116117 – as well as digital appointment possibilities are provided. The vaccines used in the EU have received a recommendation from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and have been approved for the market by the European Commission.
